•
Is it dangerous ?
The
light used for depilation
is merely an intense
emission of red or
infra-red light similar
to those emitted
by
a microwave oven.
It does not emit
radiation
that could cause
a risk to skin
health.
|
|
The
wavelength
used for the depilation is the opposite of
energetic
rays such as ultraviolet rays or X-rays: there
is absolutely
no mutagenic or carcinogenic risk.
• Do you have to
take precautions ?
Yes.
Protection of the
eyes is compulsory
and the treatment
will always be adapted
to your personal
characteristics.
The evaluation of
the level of sensitivity
of the skin and a
trial test remain
two points that are
essential to obtain
a result.
• Does
it hurt ?
No.
The sensation varies
from person to person:
often a completely
bearable tingling
is perceived, while
sometimes the sensation
is similar to the
snapping of an
elastic on the
skin.
Some persons who
are used to depilating
themselves, perceive
a sensation which
is comparable to
the epilation with
wax, but less painful.
The essential factor
to control during
any unpleasant
sensation is the
efficient cooling
of the
skin.
Also some zones
like the ankles,
the fingers, the
areola
of the breasts,
the neck, the lips
or the big lips
of a vest
are more sensitive
than the thighs,
the belly, the
top of
the chest or the
chin. Bear in mind
that the pain is
always
less then the pain
of a depilation
with [wax?] and
when it is
present, it diminshes
starting from the
second session
with a
reduction of the
pilous density.
• How long does a
session last ?
From
10 minutes for the
entire mouth or armpits
to
20 minutes for
the calves or to
30 minutes for
the entire
legs.
